Recent popular trends in the self-improvement industry have had people focus primarily on their thinking and beliefs, visualizing their future success. This, some say, is the long lost secret to success. Unfortunately, many have tried this approach only to have their hopes remain unrealized. The truth is, this is only part of the Law of Attraction. It’s true that the first half is to focus on our beliefs and our thoughts: to visualize where we want to be, what we want to have and do. But, the second half is just as important: we must go to work to make this vision a reality. Both elements are required to achieve any enduring success.
I’m reminded of the insightful quote by Theodore Roosevelt about diving in and taking positive action. He said:
“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, who’s face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs and comes short again and again, who knows the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best, knows the triumph of high achievement; and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat.”
Success Tip: Success comes to those who conceive, believe, plan, and then take action. I challenge you to do one thing today that will bring you closer to your goals. Then do something else tomorrow, and the next day. Consistent daily activity, coupled with positive belief, produces lasting achievement.
